Charlottesville has a long and storied history with many famous residents and landmarks. Today that history carries on with Charlottesville continuing to be a great place to live. Founded in 1762, Charlottesville has been home to 2 Presidents - Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is a landmark of Charlottesville, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Cville is also home to the University of Virginia (UVA), also founded by Jefferson, and it’s Hospital.
Today Cville is a vibrant city. Growing and developing, with plenty of growing pains, but the city continues to persist and evolve.
